the candidate thing : when u look at the original sentence u will find that he failed to keep either of them ,so u need to put the promises as a noun not a verb so that "either of them will have an anticedent .

the water colors : u need to have a perfect comparison so u will remove choices A & B
u dont need to put both “contemprory” & "of the same period " exclude C … the water colors are being used by artists in the past so they need to be used also by them at the contemporary time

third question : the sentence really depicts a contrast so although is right here…and “complete” is a correct adjective ,and the 3 verbs are in present correctly

4th :u need an conjunction that will depict the cause and effect in the 2 sentences “for” works perfectly but in C “this” is ambiguous

5th :the answer is 0…if you find a large quantity question like this one …try to reduce the numbers …maybe u would like to take 10 for example

6th: B?
I think “having” should be replaced with “despite” or “even with” - not sure though

7th:
When you multiply an even number by three you always get a multiple of 6
For a number to be a multiple of both 5 and 6 it must be a multiple of 30 (5x6)
1000/30 = 33 1/3
Because there are 33 multiples of 30 less than 1000, the answer is 33

i thought that it is also zero ( 5th) but according to booklet it is 50 :)

sry I missed the “sum” when u look for odds they are 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 ,11,13,15…97,99
but the evens 2,4,6,8,10,12,14…98,100 if you noticed that there are 50 evens and 50 odds and the difference between the first even and first odd is 1 and the 2nd odd with the 2nd even each one of them is different by 1 ,so 50 number *1 =50

for 2 about the math, shouldnt the answer be 180? im getting that answer, but i dont know what im doing wrong…

Yesssss!!! I argued with my friends so much over the melancholy/detachment and everyone said it was melancholy.

Well, the overwhelming feeling I got from the use of “you” was that the author was just casually detached. I mean, the things that are going on are sad, but I don’t think “melancholy” captures the tone.

I can’t quite make out a word or two in that but I think it’s E detachment. A is wrong because it’s not cheerful, it’s the opposite. B is wrong because there is no sense of surprise or astonishment. D is wrong because there’s no sense of longing for the past. I was torn between C and E but I think E fits more because it mentions “closed doors” which imply loneliness.
