hear back from ucf summer 2012?

I would check everyday at like 9pm. If they are reviewing more applications hopefully they will update whoever they reviewed at the end of the day

When do you all would think is the best time to check? Currently, I check when I wake up in the morning (Just habit, I never expect it to have actually changed). I also check during my fourth period study hall, and also at night right before I go to bed. Then I repeat. I am very curious as to what the whole process is like though. Such as when they look at things, if they split it piles of states (Which I’ve heard) or such. The way admissions do things is just something everyone would love to know the secret to-small shot we’ll ever find out, lol. Do you all think they look at applications during the day, then send out desicions in late afternoon/night?

they work 9-5 so I highly doubt anything productive goes on outside those hours

So there’s really no bother at all checking in the morning. I’m surprised, I didn’t check once today-Have been too busy.

Does anybody think I can get in for Summer 2012?
3.6 Core
4.0 Weighted
23 ACT/1040 SAT (Read/Math)

6 pm is probably the best time to check

Matt, I think you have a good chance! But I don’t want to jinx it. I have a 3.9 unweighted, and a 4.3 weighted, 730 hours of community service since 9th grade. 5 honor societies. 3 in school clubs. Varsity cheerleading/captain. My essays were said to be superb by various teachers. but my scores are terrible. 21 act. D= For summer you guys think I have a chance at all, I have been freaking out. mainly because of those dumb scores!!

You are so in for summer:) I only have one point higher then you on the ACT. You’re GPA is way higher though. We even have the same range of community service, I was 30 hours away from 700. I coached cheerleading for three years. I just find that kind of cool. Anywho, back to your question. I’d day 95% sure you’re in for summer-the other five percent is if they’re idiots:)

This is seriously the best news I got in forever!! Thank you for helping me relax! I really want to get in for summer so I can live in the towers!! Where do you wanna stay? By the way. I hope you get in. We both deserve it, and We are just naturally awesome for both coaching cheerleading!!

I loved coaching cheerleading. I quit after about 7 years, and I just couldn’t keep up with all start cheerleading, so coaching filled my craving:) You’re safe, no worries. I’m freaking out, because I don’t have a killer GPA to make up for my ACT. Hopefully they defer me! Um, for summer, wherever they put me. For fall, I’m like the Libra community:)

Quit after seven years of all star, auto correct killed that sentence, lol.

@Kait, u should be fine but keep taking the ACT to be safe

Just called UCF. They said all the people getting decisions now are the ones that meet the criteria, meaning they had an 1180 SAT (CR&M)/25 ACT and a 3.6+ GPA, which after applying with this criteria met, will take 2-4 week decision. For the rest not meeting all that criteria currently (me), they said I probably wont know for “a while”

Well, I have a 1320 SAT, 4.4 UCF GPA, sent in everything about a month ago, and still dont have a decision. Yet my friends who sent it in like 2 weeks ago already got accepted.

Hopefully in the next couple of days I’ll know

Just checking. Did we need to send the residency paper before they look at our application or do we send that if we choose to attend?

I wish they would give us some form of word on ‘a while’. Such as if it’s october. I’d like to know, to see if I’m being defered, and need to take the ACT again.

I swear if they dont get my transcripts tommorow ima explode. I sent them two fridays ago

me too sifanatic. so frustrating!

It’s ridiculous. Btw when you guys first logged onto myucf what did it say for transcripts? at one point it said missing mine from an unknown us highschool and then underneath palm harbor university highschool. now just the phu thing is there? interesting…

I honestly suggest calling them-that makes no sense. I’m out of state, and they recieved mine with a week. That just doesn’t add up. What I’ve noticed, from the past posts I’ve looked on, is that more often then not, they HAVE your transcripts-they just didn’t update your account. Call them up, ask to speak to someone who can help, and asked if they recieved them. If you send them again, and they STILL don’t get them, then I suggest hand delivering, if you live close by. I literally have been so anxious this week, because I thought for sure some of us would fine out. I’m just getting irritated now, because I want to know If I’m rejected or not, so I can give up all hope already.
