hear back from ucf summer 2012?

Yeah, I’m screwed here too. There goes my senior year. Looks like I’m stuck at ECC.

honestly, my dreams are broken.

The UCF SAT is all three combine. Not only math and verbal. Now I feel like I’m going to get denied to. =[ I have a 3.3 unweighted and a 24 ACT. I think my recalculated gpa for UCF would be 3.5 though but my sat is only a 1550. Not to mention I never passed any of my AP exams yet. =</p>

us 3 are all similar. and on my account it only shows my M+V

3.3-3.4 recalculated
24 ACT
1080/1680 SATs
tons of ECs
decent essays

I know it shows only verbal and math on your MyUCF Portal but they do look at all 3 scores together.

I probably have a 3.5 gpa recalculated.
24 ACT
1060/1550 SAT
180+ CC Hours
Hold 2 officer positions
Planned my own animal supply drive and have various other awards and ect
I also think my essays were pretty good

However, I got a D for one semester of Alg 2 and I haven’t pass any of my AP exams yet.

do you know if they look at your ACT sub scores too?

Yeah I’m definitely not going to get in. =[ I know I’m being pessimistic but I rather not get my hopes up. I’d rather be on the ground and rise to the sky, than be in the sky and die on the ground. lmao! xD

One of my friends just got accepted for summer with a 3.5 weighted, a 1530 SAT and a 25 ACT

I’m sure they glance at your subscores but idk if they really matter that much.

@baseballfan7- when did your friend apply and did they have good EC?

“If required documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) have been submitted, your application is currently being reviewed by our admission committee for the Summer 2012 term.”

Literally have had this since the beginning of August :/

@lalilyx3
He applied 3 weeks ago and he didnt have that great of EC, he played highschool baseball with me for 4 years though

i really hope that .2 of a GPA and 1 point on the ACT doesn’t make that much of a difference on my app…

Okay, here’s the plan guys. If we all get rejected, we have a riot at the school. Sound good? Cool deal, I should be able to get down there from Illinois in a handful of months, if I sprint.

I just want to point out to everyone that a school weighted GPA really does not matter all that much in the college process. Hundreds of schools all over the nation scale their weighted GPA differently. I would say that weighted GPA is really to determine your rank in your class. The most realistic gpa you can look at is unfortunately your unweighted gpa. However it’s really great that some schools, like UCF, recalculates your gpa and it usually goes up a little bit higher than your unweighted gpa.

i got a D in algebra 2 my sophmore for one semester, i had a lot of bad stuff going on in my life then. I know it doesnt look good on my app, but this summer i re took it online and got an A, does that make that grade look atleast a little better on my app?

probably looks a lot better. my GPA doesn’t sound high-- around 3.3-3.4 but in reality i have only ever gotten 3 Cs

Gailbeth-congratulations! I know this has been anxious time…so happy for you both!

well well well, I think my D is on the same boat. Pretty similar scores to the ones mentioned. lalilyx3, loved reading your posted, lol, I would prefer to rise from the ground too! lol

We are so happy!! Thank you to all still in this game!! The gpa they look at is just the four main courses plus a language- They give you .5 for honors and 1 for AP. My D had a 3.91 weighted before they recal and then a 3.82 they told me that when i called. Her best act was 25 for summer. I saw a 24 will be ok as long as gpa is 3.7 or above Otherwise it seems like kids are getting deferred. Ill be keeping fingers crossed for everyone still waiting- keep us posted

NoW I’m nervous. I applied for Summer with a 3.3 Unweighted and a 3.9 Weighted with ACT of 23 and SAT of 1040
