hear back from ucf summer 2012?

we are just going to go ahead and apply for housing at FGCU where D has been accepted already just in case.

that would be awesome !

Has anyone who gotten accepted, paid their deposit before the official acceptance letter arrives in the mail yet?

I would wait until you receive the official letter. Then you know you’re legally accepted:)

To be honest, I still feel worried because I might get my acceptance revoked or something. I seriously worry about everything and always think of the worst case scenarios. =/

You won’t get it revoked! Lol. As long as you do well you’re last semester of schools, and keep your grades up decently enough, you’re fine:)

I still haven’t gotten my letter and I got accepted on Monday, so nervous…

Write, we are really similar… Low ACTs not so good GPA, but notable and great extracurriculars, I would really reccomend visiting campus and talking to admissions because that’s what I did and I was accepted the two days later… It couldn’t hurt to go talk to them and also look at campus and other things

So I just found this website I applied in early Aug. to UCF. Stats 7 years Active duty with US Navy 3.3 unweighted GPA out of highschool, 11 CLEP’s passed in last year. (General Requirements) 28 composite with a 9 in essay potion on the ACT. Lots of humanitarian work over-seas.(Tsunami relief, Unexploded ordiance, and Special Olympics on Guam) All transcripts have been sent with the exception of the CLEPs. My status still says
“If required documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) have been submitted, your application is currently being reviewed by our admission committee for the Summer 2012 term.” Under addtional info they still need my residency status which is kind of hard to get to them, due to the fact I’m stationed in Guam. What do you think is holding up my accepted /declined status? Also chances of acceptance?(vote of confidence)

That would be so great-But I’m out of state. The only good time to visit would probably be christmas brew, and by that time, I’d probably already be rejected. I just know, for a fact, if they had an interview with me, they won’t reject me. They would see how much I’m obsessed with the school. So I guess I just have to wait. Do you think they’ve already looked at my application? It was in by September 2nd. I just want some hope that maybe they placed mine off to the side for deeper consideration.

It sounds from all the correspondence we have had with admissions that they have not looked at my daughter’s application yet. It has been a month since they received everything. Go figure!

Overcome-It’s going on two months for me, soon:/ But I have some hope they’ve seen mine, because my brother and I sent everything in at the exact same time. Same day, same hour, same second. They rejected him a little over two weeks ago.

Write, I literally said the exact same thing that I wish they do interviews because I would be great in an interview… I’m telling, u I was boderline for UCF, I sent in a resume and two letters of recomendation. If UCF is that important to u, I would really try and visit campus, If affordable to fly down here and ALSO talk to Undergraduate Admissions. I went there with a couple questions and I tried to turn the questions into an interview, there was also a problem on my application, which they fixed on Monday which is when I was accepted. So either, fixing the problem got me accepted OR I left some kind of impression…

Radclidl- 28 is your ACT? If it is, you’re fine

WRITE,
it is so weird that they have not given you a decision yet. I hope all this waiting will turn now to be an acceptance message for you!!!
I hate the waiting… :(

I’ll call them tomorrow morning, before school, or email them. There no way I can fly down there now, not with school and all the hours I need to work. I know, overcome. I’m so scared, because I don’t know whether to consider it a good thing or bad thing…I don’t want to rush them, either.

Yes as surprising as that may be I scored a 28. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I just haven’t heard back from them yet. but I’m about to call to find out what the delay is.

ACT 09/01/2011 UCF Total 28.00 copied and pasted from the app just to show honesty…

So I just got off the phone with UCF admin. department and they said they were awaiting my CLEP scores before they decided. Which I’ve got 54 credits alone in CLEP test with prior college work for anybody intrested in knowing. Thanks for keeping this forum active. I’ll let you know the results when I get them.

Every time I call admissions, they are not helpful at all. When you guys call, do you ask them to look at your application over the phone in order to give you info?

I always say that I know people with similar stats who have heard decisions so how come I haven’t heard mine?
