I just sent over a quick email today, not even asking when I’d hear back. I just said I wanted to make sure nothing was missing-they gave me the typical, “Your status will be updated to chance when we have come to a desision.” I just don’t feel good about this. How come my brother was rejected more then two weeks ago, and I’ve been waiting for almost two months? Especially if they’re going to reject me, just get it over with already…

Then, it might be you are not in the rejection pile!! I am sure they sort applicants out. I guess they have thousands and thousands! One of the counselors at my school told me that they are trying to accept in state students with high stats first to try to lure them and keep them in Florida. she said that when the good students go out of state we never see them again.

I really hope I’m not in that rejection pile. In the beginning, I could keep hope. However, it’s more and more difficult now. When ‘friends’ tell you that they won’t accept you, and your own mother says you don’t have a chance…it eats it’s way at you. Getting in wouldn’t just be a dream, but a kind of shove in the face to everyone who has doubted me…

Found this video about how they sort out who gets in and who misses the cut. Watch it!

Thank you very much! That helped! Especially the part about when he mentioned unusually impressive things, like writing a novel-Which I’ve writen two. I really, really hope they think I’m unique.

it does help seeing this!!!, doesnt it? :)

It gives me more hope then I had previously:) Thank you very much for sharing that link with me! Ah, I just want to know already. Hopefully before my birthday in early december.

I am sure we all will have an answer by mid November. It’s still early!

Very, very true. It would honestly be the best birthday gift ever:)

another good one while we wait Understanding the process and getting familiar with it, will helps us calm down a little bit I think.

That really helps! I never imagined it would work that way. It makes you wonder where you are-Still on the rack, going into the committee? It’s really interesting:)

So, I guess we have to be patient. They do have their hands full!!

Very, very true! I’m going to try and be very hopefuls. It doesn’t help that I had a dream last week, and I was accepted. I woke up, and realized it was a dream. Talk about depressing! Lol. Has your daughter heard back yet? I’m sure she’ll be fine, she has strong enough stats:)

No, you would know by now if she had heard lol. Her gpa is really low. i think 3.4 weighted. some Honors and AP classes she has passed.
Ugh! I hate those dreams!

I know! I literally jumped out of bed, shaking my sister in the early hours of the morning, and then it hit me. Then I grumbled under my breath, and went back to bed lol.

I emailed admissions re: my daughters Aug. application and this is their reply:

It is October, therefore, it is very early in the process. The reason our office encourages students to apply Sept-November is because the will wait longer if they apply any earlier.

Hey, just giving u guys a time frame, I had all of my documents in by the end of September, however they didn’t match my transcript until October, 20th. (I had to call them to make them find it because apparently they had it but just hadn’t matched it with my application yet) Then, I was accepted today . So for me, it only took 8 days to get accepted after all of my documents were matched up…
