thats a weighted gpa btw so I mean my unweighted gpa was actually pretty low…

^^

Congratulations
Are you really going to UCF or only using this school as a safety ?
I also thought you were out of state.

Submitted my application last week, requested my transcripts to be sent two days ago, and accepted today. :)

II don’t know anymore about what’s going on. I’m going to call them Monday morning. I mean, I know my stats aren’t anything strong…But two months of waiting? They may as well just reject me now.

^^
Don’t give up-
If I may provide a suggestion. Don’t call first thing Monday morning as they will be swamped with all the pending weekend request. Wait until Wednesday afternoon were hopefully a caring admissions official can provide you with the time to help you. Good Luck

I will be sure to wait until Wednesday, then. Originally, I didn’t want to rush them. Now seeing all these people getting accepted…I don’t feel good about it. I need to figure out what’s going on.

Johnny,
How did you know they had not matched it with your application?
You have pretty good stats. They are accepting students with really high stats right away.

@Davidjj I am out of state. I’m from Virginia. And yeah I’m really going to UCF lol I’ve wanted to go there ever since I was in 8th grade lol. I know some people consider it as a saftey, but the all around UCF experience seems like a lot of fun to me so its my personal first choice.

@overcome11 When I called them I asked them if they had received it. They told me no. (They probably just looked at my application status on the my.ucf website) Then I asked them if they could do a quick search for it in their database just to be sure that they didnt have it because it cost me money to send transcripts at my high school After they searched it, they said they had found it but had not matched it with my application yet. So I guess the only real way to make sure the admissions office gets your stuff done quickly is to call them and make it happen lol.

this is what my daughter status says under Transcript:
" An initial official transcript has been received. If you are offered admission and choose to enroll at UCF, please request your high school send us an official final transcript after high school graduation to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, P. O. Box 160111, Orlando, FL 32816-0111, when available."
Does this mean they got it??

Yep that means they got it I’d be surprised if you didn’t get a decision within a week… Let me know what happens!

well… it has said that for 4 weeks now. lol

oh dang…did you apply for fall or summer? I applied for fall… And also may I ask what your stats are?

I thought of myself as a patient person…not so much anymore, lol. I was edgy after one month. I’m surprised by how quick my brother’s decision came:/

Writefluidity, just call them on Monday and be like “hey I was just calling to make sure you guys have all of my documents and that I’m not missing anything” You never know, they might find discrepancies that cant be reported on the myUCF website. Trust me, most of the time the people are really helpful when you call if you ask them to help you. And also just ask them straight up “When do you think you guys will give me a decision?” Usually the people answering the phones arent the ones reading the applications so there wont be any negative repercussions to asking. :)

I will make sure I do that:) Originally, I didn’t want to rush them, seeing as my stats are so low. Only my things done outside of academics stand out. But now, I just hate not knowing. I don’t want them to drag me along this way if I’m simply going to be rejected. It’s been two months, and it’s about time they need to decide if they’re going to make me the happiest girl alive, or the opposite. I can’t wait any longer, and I need to know.

it is my daughter. she applied for summer.
24 ACT (took it again in October here, waiting for results)
first SAT: 610 writing, 550 reading, 460 math
latest SAT: 630 writing, 610, critical reading, 470 math (they still are to get the results)
10 essay
3.4 weighted GPA
Honors and AP classes.
over 100 hours of missions trips inside and out of the country.
WE sent the SAT scores the same day they came out like one or two weeks ago, and they still haven’t gottent them! They only have the first ones.
She has all A and B’s this quarter. (AP’s and Honors)

Overcome-I really do think your daughter will get in. Her ACT score makes up for the GPA, and there’s been many people accepted for summer for 23 ACT scores. Plus, she has over 100 community service hours. I know how hard that is to accomplish, and so will admissions:) Hopefully she ends up in the committee room, because if so, I’m fairly sure they’ll send her through.

Thank you Write,
But I seriously dont know who I will be the happiest for, you or my daughter if accepted Only time will tell. I am staying optimistic! I have the feeling that if they have not rejected you having applied at the same time as your brother did, you might hear better news :)

That’s so sweet of you! You’re really helping me along the way, which should be my own mothers job, but she hasn’t filled that role in years.

Thank you, but guess what?
Better times will come! Regardless of what happens here, you are so young, you do have the world at your feet!! Life plays and throws us around in ways we can not understand at the moment, but in the end almost always it all makes sense. So, patience!! If I were you, I would call on Monday. You can call as many times as you need to!
