Hearing back from housing + roommate compatibility

Ok, so to make this post pretty short and forever to the point, I've got a question (or dos) that I pondered whilst taking a shower about 15 minutes ago.

1) When do we hear back from the housing application as to which dorm we're assigned?

2) There were about 7-8 questions in regards to roommate "compatibility." Is that all there is that determines what kind of roommate I'll be lotto'ed? If I rack my brains with enough gusto, I remember reading that some colleges have a comprehensive list of questions that you answer (sleeping habits, how much protein you eat everyday, whether or not you throb the dolphin often, etc, etc,) which is paired up with other peoples' answers to get you a swag roommate. UW doesn't have this?

Cool, thanks and I swear to satan if you guys forgot about Mother's day....
Peace out.

I heard that we hear back in August. And yes, that’s the only roommate questionnaire UW has.

1) If you’re doing Early Fall Start (like me!), then you hear back in July. Otherwise, and for the main 2011-12 school year, August.

2) I don’t think long roommate questionnaires are all that common actually. I know my sister didn’t have that even at her small liberal arts college, and none of my friends filled out anything like that for their schools either. Honestly, the housing people aren’t trying to match you up with your future best friend, they’re just trying to room you with someone who you won’t want to murder after a few weeks.

Throb the dolphin? lol
