my child was accepted, got decent financial aid package- but as we start talking with people, we have heard they are short commits by 75-100 students - shrinking endowment, and might not be around in a few years! HELP!!!! We thought we did all the research possible! Now what??!! Any advice?

If this is really concerning for you, maybe it’s not the best option right now. It’s certainly not going to be a good situation if you suddenly have to pull your child out of school and find a new place for her, particularly in the midst of a crucial year like a junior year. However, if you love the school, maybe it’s time to talk to them about the situation.

Are these rumors or have they been confirmed?

I heard a rumor that this is a ■■■■■.

I’ve heard this is Andover, so beware!!

:-)

Objection hearsay!!

Seriously, you would have to post the name of the school but then it might identify your child. Nothing intelligent can be posted without knowing the name of the prep school.

It wouldn’t identify anyone unless that school had like ten people on FA in the entire accepted class.

It’d just narrow it down.

@mrnephew some advice. anything that starts with trol, stay out of it cuz if it quacks . . .

Where in the title or the OP does it say ■■■■■?

The OP won’t admit that he’s a ■■■■■; nonetheless, he is. @mrnephew

@skieurope I am confused. Clarify?

I’m just saying that this is an obvious ■■■■■ posting, IMHO. The ridiculous question and the low post count and the fact that the account was created a few minutes before the first post lead me to believe that. @mrnephew

I see. Well, if it’s not a ■■■■■ post, then I’ll leave it up to the OP’er to respond.

@skieurope What could the Op be trolling for? Do you mean just trying to dig up dirt on a prep school? It is an odd posting and probably designed to garner some information on a prep school. I guess I just wonder what purpose could it serve the OP? The only useful information that could arise from the posting would be if some headmaster would post “Our XYZ school is in trouble and in danger of closing!”. The XYZ school might get flooded with donations from alumni. Might be like stealing a page from the TV preacher who asked for $$$ or he would be called to heaven by God. It worked for the preacher.

@grx567 From Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/■■■■■_(Internet)

@skieurope I know what a ■■■■■ is I just do not think the OP can get a response without including the name of the BS. Unless of course, he/she wants us to endlessly speculate on their motives.
