hey! so i applied to St. Lawrence (ignore my username haha cuz it was RD) and i was wondering, do you guys know how we will hear back? is it by email? by letter? check the website? also, when should we be hearing back?! THANKS!

EDhelp… My S found out his decision around the 2nd week in March last year. It came snail mail. So probably about a month from now. Last year they posted pictures on their admissions website of the letters going out. My S was accepted and will actually be in the class of 2017 as he is on a gap year right now. Good Luck!

^thank you so much! Congratulations to your son! Hopefully we will be in the Class of 2017 together!

I hope so too! It is an absolutely AMAZING school in every way. My DS turned 8 other schools to attend SLU. He went out to their accepted students day and had the time of his life with everyone. He said he had never seen a more alive campus, and everyone he met just raved about the place. He is an outdoorsy kid who just finished hiking the complete Pacific Crest Trail…2650 miles. He is now looking to go to Europe and climb some mountains there for awhile. What are some of your interests and are you looking at any other schools? We are actually from So Cal…so SLU is about as far away as possible…LOL!

any international received their decisions? I submitted my ED application on 02/01 and is still waiting for the decision

Big Envelope came today! A little disappointed in Fin. Aid package though.

I received my acceptance letter from SLU today, along with a pretty decently sized scholarship and grant. Now I have to decide between Hobart and William Smith Colleges and SLU - any opinions?

@JBucky…my S was admitted to both SLU and H&WS last year and went to both accepted student receptions with overnights. SLU was his clear favorite. He said the H&WS’s campus was stunning and the town of Geneva charming, but that could not overcome all of the reasons he loved SLU. SLU is a special place. It is not for everyone as it very remote. He liked that about SLU though. His overnight was amazing. Fun, inclusive, happy, energetic, kids. He was engaged in activities until 2 in the morning. He LOIVED that, as he likes stuff going on all the time. He is an outdoors guy, so the outing club was also huge in his decision. He got fantastic packages from both schools. He will be in your class as he is on a gap year now and will start at SLU in August class of 2017. He can hardly wait!

@Jbucky and 5boys, did you receive merit scholarship $$? My D received minimal Pres. scholarship and grant.

magic. my S actually received 2 merit scholarships…I think the presidential for 15,000 and a leadership for 10,000, so 25,000 a year. They also gave him a pretty hefty grant That was definitely hard to pass up, even when he got accepted to higher ranked schools. I do think that my S was at the top of their applicant pool, which I’m sure helped, plus he was a perfect fit. After his visit he said he would have picked SLU regardless of the great money offer because it was his absolute favorite in the end.

Does anyone know when the accepted students weekend is?

When are the decisions going to reach me in Sweden? I am really nervous about this one especially!

Accepted!!!
