Hectic life

I have started my first week of school and it seems so hectic like I have no energy to even work. Does this mean I'm pressuring myself too hard? I am in 10th grade and in pre-ib, and like all the sophmores before said this is the hardest year and i just don't know. I feel like giving up because I can't handel this much work but at the same time I don't want to quit.

Get off CC

don’t worry broski, you’ll get use to the new workload in a week or two.

sorry to say, but it does get worse. Much worse. you need to make sure your living habits are healthy (sleeping & eating well, etc) and managing your time effectively. However, if you’re expecting straight-As, you are likely expecting too much.

Even if you’re not expecting straight-As, it still may just be too much for you. Despite what IB would have you believe, IB is not for everyone, and the workload is too difficult for many a good student.

You do, however, get used to it to a certain extent.

Pre-IB sophomore year was a joke.

TIME MANAGEMENT.

Classes?

I feel the same way, OP. Bleah.

futureexecutive got the first thing you should do down.

This is what I do when I start feeling overwhelmed by school.

Look around at idiots in school.

Acknowledge that said idiots have passed sophomore year.

Conclude that if idiots can do it, so can I.

Of course, an exceedingly large number of idiots at one’s school is required.

^ But, said idiots usually pass sophomore year with mediocre-terrible grades in regular classes. I want to get Straight A’s in honors-AP courses.

Just wait it out. You’ll feel better in a few days. I’d have days where I was so sick of school and didn’t know how I’d handle the rest of the school year. And not to be egotistical, but when I’m feeling upset and like I can’t handle my workload, I look at all of the people who are doing worse than me and start to feel better about myself. Mean, but effective.

real helpful guys. but I got myself confidence up by after few minutes writing that post. I got all 100% so they made my days. see ya.:P
