Ok, as the above message indicates, I am experiencing a lot of anxiety.
Why, you may ask?

I was looking over my apps and I realized I made a major mistake

Well, when filling out the common app questions for possible concentrations/majors I put Biology, Political Science, and International Finance. Harvard does not offer Poli Sci it is termed as a Government major. I put international finance down because I might want to take some classes in that field.

So, will harvard see the discrepancy between the official title of their majors(Gov/ Poli Sci) and think that I was stupid and didn't look at their viewbook or will they think that I am interested in those fields not particularly those exact specific majors???

What should I do???

PS. If possible could northstarmom please respond

They won't care. The adcoms know that most people who apply are not sophisticated about picking majors. That's something that students learn in college. The adcoms also know that students probably won't stick anyway to the majors they thought they'd go into when they were in h.s.

I put "Biology" for possible concentration/major on the Common Application, but on any supplement that asked the same, I made sure to look up the exact name of the bio major in the viewbook for whichever school I was applying to. I think your little mistake might be okay, seeing as it was on the Common App. Adcoms realize that if you use the Common App. rather than the school's application, you're most likely applying to other schools as well (well who wouldn't? It's Harvard lol). But if you put Poli Sci on the Harvard supplement (which I don't recall is actually possible), then there would be a problem.

BTW, I majored in government at Harvard. Because many colleges don't have majors called "government," when majors come up in conversations, I often say that I majored in "poli sci." It really is no big deal.

Harvard adcoms will be looking at your choice of major to find out what kinds of things seem to be of interest to you now and whether these seem to correspond to your ECs, coursework, etc. They won't be scrutinizing the application to find out if you've memorized the Harvard web page.
