Heeelppp!! Sat2 Biology!!

Ok so i'm taking the SAT2 Bio (m) in may, and i'm half-way through the princeton review book. The problem, though, is that we have barely covered anything thats inclduded in the test in mmy biology class. If i read the princeton review book will that give me all the information i need for the test? enough for an 800?

Please tell me of any other books i should use or what would help.

Thanks

Princeton Review = Probably not enough for 800..
if u are that high-aiming, i would recommend u going w/ Barrons

What's your test prep strategy for bio? So far all I've been doing is the Barron's book and making note cards.

i basically just read about 10 pages a day from the princeton book. then i take the short quizes they have and go over anything i dont know. ..i dont know if its the best strategy but i usually retain what i learn.

The question is though...will reading the princeton book and know whats in it be enough for an 800? because thats my only source of info, considering i have barely covered the material in my IB Bio class yet.

Barrons was AMAZING for SAT II Bio....got me an 800...well...that and my absolutely fantastic AP Bio class...(sighh...nostalgia...)

I'd get Barrons as a second review book. And I suggest just reading through the chapters in your text that you haven't covered in class....

yea, i'm also curious, for all the 800 bio scorers, wat prep books did u use

im curious as well. which one should i take, E or M? I have heard contrasting views on which is easier.

i thought E was a lot easier, but i thought that about ecology in general. It's all about where your strengths lie. In terms of studying, I didn't do much outside of my AP bio class and the AP Cliffs book. Got an 800.

To answer gxing's Q:

I took Molecular.
3 reasons:
a. my AP Bio class crammed the ecology stuff basically in the last week or so...
b. DNA and proteins are just 10 times more interesting, at least for me.
c. molecules are easier for me to put into my head logically and systemically - maybe because I haven't directly seen the randomness of nature at work, whereas that randomness is everywhere in terms of ecology. Simply, it was just easier for me to understand.

BUT - if I remember correctly, M involves more memorization...

So it's your decision, E or M: ask yourself (1) What did you cover more extensively in class? (2) What do you understand better? (3) What do you have more of an interest in, because you're more likely to remember things if you like them...

hehe...unnecessarily long post...but yeah...
