Height of bed from floor

As we’re looking at under bed storage, saw on the website that maximum height, at least at Riverside, is maybe 33 inches.

I’ve heard from many parents that it is very difficult to move the bed, so we were wondering where the bed is position on move in day. Is it at the highest or lowest?

And what are the settings for height from the floor? Are there three settings?

What is the lowest setting and what is the medium setting?

We’ll be bringing some rubbermaid totes and want to make sure they’re short enough to fit under the bed.

When we got there last August, the bed was set at the highest point, which is 32 or 33 inches (depends on who measures, I guess). There are three or four settings, but I cannot tell you what the heights are. You may want to send an e-mail to housing to see if it can answer that question.

the dresser is 30 inches approx.

i think the rubbermaid is shorter than that.

when we were there for bama bound the beds were all different heights, so i am guessing there is no standard way that they will be when you get there.

Does the dresser fit under the bed?

The dresser fits under the bed when the bed is at its maximum height. The bed is easy to move and it is somewhat easy to adjust the bed’s height, but it would help if another person to hold the bed while you lowered it.

We’re definitely not doing the maximum, so looks like we can’t put the dresser under the bed. Going to be some brawn going on if we get there and the bed is at its max.

Do you know if the standard rubbermaid totes fit under the bed when it’s not at its maximum height?

What is the lowest one can lower the bed?

How many levels are there for lowering, raising the bed?

Underbed option if keeping it low is the long and short height plastic tubs. D has two under hers for jeans/sweats. Frees up a lot of drawer space.

there are some stacking drawer units that each drawer is a separate unit, so you can make it as short or as tall as you want to.

depending on what he needs to store … does he need drawer units or storage tubs?
