Sad day for Aggies.

Very sad indeed. My deep sympathy goes out to the family of the soldier that was killed. Such sadness it is to see a young soldier with a bright future die in a tragic accident.

My thoughts, sympathies and prayers to all.

Yeah, I saw this on the front page of MSNBC.com. The headline wrote “Army helicopter crashes on college campus”. for some strange reason I felt something telling me it was at TAMU.

My prayers go out t all the families.

I saw this on the news and it felt like someone punched me in the gut. My prayers go out to all the people affected by this.

DP

Drove by the crash site yesterday on my way back into town… it hasn’t changed any (copter still there with debris all over) except Army guards securing the border of the crash site with Humvees. Very sad occurrence.

:( prayers and thoughts for everyone affected.

Keep Sgt. Mitt in prayer. He is one of the injured Guardsmen. Today they downgraded his condition from fair to critical. :-(

Here is a link to the article for 2LT Cook’s funeral. Brings tears to your eyes. A fine young man.

[Hundreds attend funeral for Army 2nd Lt. Zac Cook, who died in Black Hawk training exercise at Texas A&M](http://www.lufkindailynews.com/hp/content/news/stories/2009/01/18/zac_cook_funeral.html)

Stunning article. It celebrates the life of Lt. Cook, making him sound like a remarkable man and a great loss to this country. Personally, I don’t know him but even then he is role model for me because I can only hope to live up to even half the man he was. Rest in peace Lt. Zac Cook.

I’m sad to point out “Another soldier, 42-year-old Sgt. Charles C. Mitts of Spring, died Wednesday after being injured in the crash”. May he rest in peace as well. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Also, prayers for the other men recovering from serious injuries.
