<p>UMBC vs. U Miami...</p>
<p>I got accepted in to the BFA at University of Maryland Baltimore COunty and only the BA at Miami. Im not sure where to go though. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>If you are in state for Maryland, save your money and go to UMBC.</p>
<p>If you aren’t in state, and the costs are essentially the same for you, try to find out something about their placement. Do the graduates of these programs actually get jobs?</p>
<p>yes I am in state for UMBC but money is not really an issue. Does any one have any information on the theater provrams? I know Miami has a great one but I only got accepted into the BA rather than the BFA while I got accepted into the BFA at UMBC</p>
<p>Are you committed for sure to a career in the theatre? The BFA will require the majority of your credit hours at UMBC and not leave much opportunity to explore other areas. But, as BFAs go, it’s less time-intensive than most, so you should be able to have a college experience in addition to acting courses. At Miami, you’d have more of an all-around campus-centered life; you could even double-major if you chose.</p>
<p>I am definatley serious about the acting career. I would like to have a some what college experience but I would rather spend my days on rehearsing to be an actress</p>
