Hello again Trinity Forum!

My d is back in the Trinity club.

She decided against Fordham LC when we revisited a few days ago.........thank goodness we did this or she would have found out too late that she was not happy w/ her choice.

We missed the VIP day but we will visit this Tues!

Looking forward to our visit!

Who lives in Jones or Elton Hall? Can anyone tell us what they are like?

How is the 19 Meal traditional Meal Plan, good enough to start w/ and then we figure she can add $ to T card as needed for other things like bookstore, Bistro, Cave, Printing?

Or should I add $ to allow for printing seperately?

Is there really too much drinking? Not too wild? Should I be concerned, I mean I am a mom:)

Nice to hear this luliztee!

Although, it's not that nice to keep on swinging from one college to another. I hope this time the decision is firm and you'll be happy with it.

And about drinking-- Well it depends entirely on the student, whether s/he wishes to drink, or not to!
The wild party scene will always be there, as it is with any other college or university in USA!!!
The students with whom I am in touch with have told me that it is still possible to remain a teetotaler at Trinity and still have a social life.

thanks ntek511

I am certain she will have a firm decision after we visit on Tues. The reason she held off on Trinity was because she did not recieve a suitable award pkg for our family to send her there.......but we appealed and they increased the award..........thank you God.....so now she is open to choose to attend as long as she likes Trinity after her visit.

Very very lucky, and special too, I might say...

I don't think Trinity is known for increasing awards through easy appeals, specially when it's going through budget cuts.

I guess, it all comes down to the college visit then. Do tell us about it.

Good decision luliztee and luliztee's D welcome back to the Class of '10.

I am going to call Trinity and find out what will be open on Tues. since it is the holiday vacation I did not know if the offices are closed, even tho they are tours going out.

She wants to meet w/ Prof. Spencer from guided studies and if possible the psycology dept and studio arts dept, and the fin aid office.

Anyone know if classes are in session that week(4/16-4/20)?

Also heard it mentioned that guided studies and inter arts students get housed in Jones hall.........anyone know if this is right? Can you tell us what the hall is like? All I know is they are doubles for freshman and located near Mather hall.

Also, I think ISP students live in Jarvis hall.

How is Jarvis Hall? Lets have some comments.

We saw Trinity on Tues.

Jarvis is located in the Long walk section......prime location......I did not go in but I have heard from some students that rodents visit occasionally. The quarters are unique since it is in the old part of campus and "charming". The kids we talked to said everyone loves Jarvis.( in spite of the occasional furry visitors)

My d is in Jones ( near Mather) we were told the guided study kids and inter arts freshman get housed there. It is rated a "C" because of location next door to mather but for aesthetics and space it would not be a "C" if it was located anywhere else not so desirable. Jones did not look terrible but not great either...cinder block walls, kind of cramped and basmt lounge kind of musty but had a big screen Tv and comfy couches.

The Summit Suites looked the nicest, quads especially.

Relieved to some extent.........First positive reply for Jarvis. I used to hear its an oldy thing. Ppl cant bear the heat when its summer. You dont even feel like bein in ur dorm. Anyways thanx luliztee......
