i am currently a junior in high school who wants to be a pharmacist but i have a C in chemistry and high Bs in math. do pharmacy schools look more heavily on these two subjects then anything else because chem is my worst subject

unfortunately they do since chemistry is important for pharmacy and math is used in science fields. you could always apply to less competitive schools though, since high b’s in math are okay depending on the level

what would happen if have a fairly high gpa and solid sat scores

here’s the thing, most schools I know will have you enter your undergraduate program as either pre-pharm or as a science major of some sort. You will then have to apply to the pharmacy school after a year or 2 (this depends on the program) and they admit you based on your STEM GPA (science, math, engineering and technology) so if you cant get the grades there in chemistry, biology and upper level math you need to consider what else you want to do…not trying to be mean or shoot you down but thats the hard truth.

As a chemistry graduate student I can assure you that general chemistry is not what chemistry is really like, it has to be so watered down that a lot of the important connecting concepts are lost so just because you struggle with general chem doesn’t mean you can’t do well with organic which is what pharm school uses.

i have mostly As and a Few Bs in math and science together it is just chemistry that i have a c in
