Hello, Class of 2012!

How are you this fine day? On a scale of 1-10, how scared/freaked out are you for the fall 2011 college application process?

Also, what are you all planning to study (major, minor, all that junk)? :)

On a scale from 1-10, I fluctuate between 10 and 300,000. I want to study Communications or Government. Maybe I’ll minor in English too. What about you?

EDIT: I was also thinking about philosophy.

Need to get my college list down and visit more schools. Essays are going to be hard to write, and teacher recs are going to be somewhat iffy. I’m not very optimistic…

Major(s) are probably going to end up as one or two of <math, physics,=“” cs=“”>, most likely math+CS.</math,>

Well, good news is that you have lots of time!
I’m definitely interested in global health. I’d love to major in microbiology or immunology with a minor in global health/public health. Epidemiology sounds really interesting also.

Right now, I’m about a 6 on the 1-10 scale, but I have a feeling that come September, I’ll be about an 11. :D

Solid 5. I’m visiting UC Berkeley & Stanford in a few weeks, so I’m getting started…

Major: something biology-related

5, if all fails im going to CC. my grades arnt so great. planning to major in nursing

I have great grades, test scores, and some decent EC’s. I figure that I’ll get in somewhere.

God, I would hate to go through senior year again…SUCKS TO BE YOU GUYS!

Yeah, I’d love to be graduating…

I’m like a 5-6. I’ve done everything right so far, I just need to do the essays and actual apps. I’ll probably go pre-med in college with a biochemistry major or something. maybe biomed engineering. OH THE DECISIONS.

Probably a 6? Not exactly freaking out, but by no means completely relaxed. Plan to major in engineering or premed.

5, normally. Planning on a major in investment and securities with pre law advising. Enter law school with business major. Life gets easier

I wish I could just skip to this time next year, when all acceptances/rejections are in and all we have to do is coast through the rest of senior year.

Do you guys feel pretty confident in your stats, overall app?

And woohoo for the future doctors of America!

Woooo people’s lives will be in our hands!!!

What kind of doctor do you want to be? Any ideas for specialization yet?

My interests are all over the board. I love kids, so maybe pediatrics; I’ve heard radiology’s a great field; pharmaceuticals could be interesting, and may tie in more mathematical aspects as well. Really, at this point, idk! I think I’ll need some experience trying out these but I definitely am going to specialize in something. What about you?

Probably about a five. I’ve been doing a lot of research (I can be slightly obsessive) but I’m not really that nervous or anything. I’ve been doing a few college tours, getting a sense of what I’m looking for in a school. I’m sure I’ll be a lot more freaked out in the fall when I have to balance a really hard senior schedule AND the application process.

Physics physics physics!

Liv 4 Physicz!

maybe a 6. I’ve already finished most of my essays though
contrary to my username, I’m looking to major in psychology

Marinebio: srsly!? Ahhh I gotta get goin’ on those!

@liv: yep! I told myself I’d better start now. I don’t want to be like everyone else at school, struggling to put together essays and supplements at the last possible minute :p
