Hello. Does anybody know about the University Scholars Program in Medicine at WUSL?

I'd like to learn more about the University Scholars Program in Medicine program at WUSL. How long is it? How much would it cost? How competitive is applications?

Hi there. I have submitted my app for this program (btw it is WUSTL). It is perhaps one, if not the, most selective combined med programs out there since they admit about 5-10 person each year. Unlike others like HPME/PLME from NU and brown respectively, the USP will not allow you to skip the MCAT. You still have to go for an interview to enter the med grad school. And there is still a requirement to maintain a 3.8 GPA. As for cost, I am not sure about the aid but you need to be prepared to fork out your own money. However there is scholarships available in WashU.

Regarding the competition, let’s just say I consider it a super reach for myself. Although im an int’l applicant, i do have a couple of Int’l bio/math olympiad medals to back up.

the university scholars program is very very hard to get in and stay in. Though they choose 5-10 students, at least half will be forced to drop b/c they don’t meet the requirements (know 2 people who got accepted but couldn’t maintain the requirements)
