i’m just introducing myself :). i was appointed in late march and am from california. this room seems to be a wealth of info…

hi! welcome aboard :)

yup...where in southern? ;)
i'm in sd county

i live there too!

I'm from Fresno in the valley...good to see some fellow Californians. ;)

Hey, I live in San Diego also, but I have a long time till I apply for the academy (Prospective member of C/O 2016). Anyways, welcome to the forum, undercoveraviatr and have a great stay.

so, uh, where in sd? ;)
i'm in east county

g4c...are there really not many californians? it would seem, population wise, we would kind of be ubiquitous... ;)

but a girl at orientation was all enthusiastic i was californian, apparently she wanted to boost numbers haha

You Californians are more prevalent than that other group of cadets...the loud Texans...

Must be the laid back Cali attitude that keeps them from stickin out Dude...

Lots of CA's and TX's from where these PA small-fry stand. And, I htink I saw five kids from SC, but 35 from Florida!

I have actually been to California - but that's it.

HOOAH for FLORIDA!!!!!

new york, represent

Sweet Florida, so if i get appointed I wont be alone.

Every time someone asked me where I was from at orientation, when I said Texas, their eyes rolled... like all the way around

but TX is awesome, so don't worry. haha

i'm not from TX, but lots of ppl think i am. i rly should be.

Right you are... it is awesome

I have adopted an attitude of apathy when people start trying to bash TX to get a rise out of me lol. I go, "oki doki, don't really care." And the responses are hilarious. OMG, your the only one! I don't understand! They love it and don't bother me then. lol. All about how you want to approach it. :)

One guy gave me this little speech about not losing your state pride... I don't think it'll be a problem :)
