Hello GPA raise

Hello,
I have a question regarding GPA-I have done 26 credits so far and have a 2.3 GPA is it so possible to raise it to a 3.0 in a semester?
I've improved this semester and am working towards it or will that 2.3 not budge?
Thank you.

Not to be rude but if you’re an engineering major you should be able to do simple percentages.

Without knowing how many credits you’re taking I’d say no…unless it’s a prefect 18 credits. this is some quick math in my head at six am but if you add in a full Eighteen credits at a 4.0 that probably puts you a bit below or right around 3.0. But if you’re taking less then 18 credits it could be done over the next few semesters, sure.

A 3.5 average with 18 credits would put you right at 3.0, but seldom do people change so drastically that they can change their grade like that.
If the 2.3 was a fluke, then maybe. If not, don’t count on a 3.5+. There’s a certain type of person who can have that kind of consistency, and it’s really hard to develop that so quickly.

He/she needs a 4.0 over 18 credits. A 2.3 with 26 credits is 60 grade points. A 4.0 over 18 credits is 72 grade points. That’s 132 grade points and 44 credit hours which leads to a 3.0 exactly

Take Spanish. They are usually 5 credit courses

Thats my cgpa-it was bad due personal stuff i ruined my grades i know.
Anyways i hope to do better thank you all for the replies.
I’m taking 17 credits right now and plan to do summer courses.
Thanks!!!

If nothing else, a consistent improvement can be just as valuable as a good GPA.

It can be done. I got a d freshman year which ruined my first year GPA.

I repeated the class which erased the d . Next semester was like 3.87 so that really helped.

My lowest single semester gpa was a 0.69. I’ve been riding 4.0’s for 55 credits now. All it takes is about 5-10 years of personal growth and major life changes…

What Fender girl said about basic math skills and the answer is - it’s unlikely.

Perhaps try not to overload yourself with # of courses. 17 credits is a lot lol, unless you don’t work then that’s different. It’s great that you’re able to do that much though, but it may cause you to miss deadlines or not finish work.

Honestly, how could you not calculate that yourself? How can anyone, but yourself, possible answer that question>
