Hello! International seeking advice :/

Hi! I'm last year in HS, International. I have 3.45 GPA (unweighted) throughout 9 , 10 and 11th grade(9-3.16; 10- 3.33; 11-3.87). As you can see is progressing - I had few tough years in highschool but I mooved from the bottom of my class to the top of it. My preparation for SAT was with Barron's and i took the official SAT posted on the page with 600 on every module. Also I am taking SAT2 - Math 2 and Biology. I have various extracurriculars - debates club, individual award in radiojournalism ,astronomy projects presented during conferences, astronomy summer schools, went to national round of computational linguistics competition in my country. I am planning to study Biology or Astronomy in USA and I was planning to go for Wellesley Coll., BU, Northeastern, Illinois IT, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Kenyon College. I must get some kind of financial help because my family will not be able to make contributions bigger than 7-8k. Please tell me what do you think about the universities I picked and If you have anything else to add I will be pleased to hear :)

Your school selection is a little bit risky…I think if you are applying for FA then you need some really good safeties. Also, public schools don’t really give FA to international students

Cross out UIUC since they don’t give financial aid to internationals.
BU is risky for FA.
That leaves Wellesley, which is a reach for everyone; Kenyon, which is a reach for you but not impossible; Northeastern = match; Illinois IT = match (but dubious FA).
If you like Wellesley, apply to other women’s colleges.

If you like Kenyon, apply to similar rural LACs, especially since you’ll have less competition. In particular, look into Grinnell, it’s very generous to internationals and is top notch for science.

Thank you I really like Wellesley and I have bulgarian friend there that could help me and also I am planning for Gettysburg College because my high school has few students there which gives the university some kind of idea what kind of people we are. What do you think about Gettysburg

I forgot to add that i have volunteering work at YouthBank International :)

650+ in all SAT sections and Kenyon would be in the realm of possibility. Wellesley perhaps not. Apply to Mt Holyoke. And btw, Grinnell is only generous to students from specific world regions. If youre from india get ready to pay about 15k.
