Hello, lovely! Help a sister out?

First, let me start off by saying you are quite amazing for taking the time to read this. Thank you
Chance me? I'll chance back! :)

I am a senior in High school now and I have around a 3.25 (or 3.3) GPA UW, currently. I believe that it is around a 3.95 W. I know it's low, but I won't waste your time with some lousy excuse. But, by the time my high school career is over, I will have taken around 8 AP classes and an infinite number of honors courses. Also, I have taken french for five years. I want to major in International Affairs and Political Science (Pre-Law track). I received a 1770 SAT I score without studying. Now, I have taken a class and plan to retake it in October (my practice SAT scores are 2050!!) and take the ACT/SAT Subject Tests in November. Here are my credentials.

Will I get into NYU New York and Abu Dhabi, Bryn Mawr, George Washington University, American University (DC), Wellesley, and UVA? [I have safety schools, but I am slightly skeptical about these].

Also, I am applying ED to NYU. Is it better to apply Early Action or Regular Decision to the other schools?

Also, getting reccommendations will be super easy because I am pretty friendly with all of my teachers and the faculty at my school (security guards, guadiance counselors, etc). I have 1 already and it is amazing (woo!)

I guess ethnicity comes into play: I am African American.

Thanks!

Oh, and how about Fordham U in NY?

Thanks everyone!

though your grades seem a little lackluster for some of these schools, I think your EC’s make up for them because your EC’s are excellent. however, perhaps in retrospect you should’ve spent more time on school work and less on EC’s since i do think transcript and grades are the most important part of an application.

Nervus Breakdown: Looking back, I realized that I probably spent TOO much time with my EC rather than school work. My counselor says that I have a tendency to need to do everything…that could eventually be my downfall.

THAT’S WHY I AM HAVING A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN. GAH.

^^haha thanks, though.

Bump

bump

…bump?

If you can get your scores up to the projection, you have a good chance at American and a reasonable chance at NYU. GWU is gonna be a stretch, but with your ec’s, you at least have a shot.

btw, i did badly on my AP World exam as well, lol.

thanks kirringer!

and, yeah. ap world screwed me over hahaa.

a little help here? thanks :)

^^ BUMP.

Your GPA is on the low end for NYU, Wellesley, and UVa. I’d say Wellesley is a significant reach.
