HI everyone. I just stumbled onto this site. I am a 34 year old college freshman at a Washington State community college. I just finished my 2nd quarter and I have a 4.0. I have taken Intro to:Sociology, Psychology, Logic. I have also taken COmp 101, Four Field Anthropology and a child development class. I am planning to transfer in 07. I want to study either Religious Studies, Ethnic Studies, or Native American Studies. I plan to go on for a MAsters in Organizational Development or Communications.
Anyway, I plan to apply to University of Washington, University of Oregon, Berkeley, and UCSD. Also WSU as my backup.
I am a mom of 3 boys and I homeschool them. My oldest has Asperger Syndrome (neurological disorder) and I have spent a lot of time helping him navigate life. My husband works fulltime and is a fulltime student as well. We are lowincome.
I took two classes in1991, and got a C in COmp 101 and an F(incomplete) in Socrates. Young and stupid at the time. How much will that be looked at? As I have said, I just took Comp 101 again and got a 4.0, but it was at a different school.
I only got a 940 on my SAT. It was taken in 1988, and do they even look at SAT for transfers? My high school gpa was somewhere around 2.9, but that was weighted.
What are my chances and what should I focus on in the coming months before I apply>

Your chances at UCSD and Berkeley will be very, very low because you are not a California resident.

really? What about the private schools in SD? What would my chances look like if I moved to CA and did a year at a California cc?
