SAT Subject Tests: Math - 740, US history 800
GPA (weighted): 4.02 // However, I moved schools in the middle of junior year and the private school I attended for my first two years employed a rather harsh grading scale where 96-100 = 4.3, 94-96 = 4.0, 91-93 = 3.7, etc. Junior year weighted GPA at my new public school was a 4.4.
UW GPA: about 3.8
School: Competitive Public

Academic Rigor: Will have taken 9 AP courses by the end of senior year. Previous school was an IB school. AP Economics, AP Calculus AB, AP French, AP US history, AP English Language and Comp, AP Stat, AP Bio, AP English Literature and Comp, AP US Government.
Did alright on AP Exams - AP Scholar with honor. Got A’s in all my AP classes except one.
EC’s:
• 4 years of cross country (both varsity and JV)
• Journalism and Publication : writing for a Fansided (sports-related) site (wizofawes.com) as a staff writer, wrote for school newspaper, got the spot at the site after starting my own personal sports blog.
• Interned at a South Korean trade and investment government agency for 3 weeks
• Unsure of exact number of community service hours, but have been very involved since my freshman year (service trip to poverty-stricken areas of the Philippines, charity trips to Washington D.C, etc.)
• Model United Nations (2 years) and serving as Treasurer
• Debate and Speech (3 years)
• Assistant Manager at local Cold Stone store (will be two years by end of this school year)
• Student Government (one year), JV Basketball (one year)
I am happy with my essay and I believe it’s rather strong.
