Hello! Please Read! & help me out. t hanks :)

Hi! I am going to be an upcoming senior in highschool!
so i should reallly be researching on what school is right for me.
I either want to become a Vet , Medical Doctor, or a Dentist, and iwas wondering if UC Irvine is a good place to go? If y ou can get back to me that would be great!

It gets the job done well. Bio sci seemed to be the most popular major at my orientation that I had last week, so something must be good about UC Irvine biology. You should definitely consider UCI! The school's almost always under construction and the biology buildings look pretty new and slick (you'll be having at least some classes there to get into vet/med/dental schools). It's also not far from Hoag Hospital where you can potentially do some volunteering and get some shadowing done there for med school.

When you know you're going to graduate school, choosing your school all boils down where you think you'll have the best undergraduate experience. So a few things you can do are sit in on lectures, explore the campus, and look at the areas around the campus.

Anywho I don't have much more to brag about since I'm only an incoming freshman.

Check out this topic on other pre-med schools here:

If you want to be a vet try UC Davis. I think they're well known for their vet program.

If you are cut out to be a doctor, be a doctor.
If you aren't, be a dentist.
If you aren't cut out to be a dentist, be a pharmacist.

Isn't that how it usually goes?

UCI is a fine premed school. Lots of research opportunities and clinical work experience oppoertunities at UCI or in the area. Of course, if you can get into better, it might be in your best interests to go to better schools.

If you are premed, where you go to undergrad doesn't matter significantly though as long as you get a high MCAT, high GPA, and do a good amount of extracurriculars that show why you want to work in medicine.

UCI is good! Chancellor Drake is an M.D and incredibly well-connected and respected. Before coming to UCI three-years ago, he was the vice president for health affairs for the whole University of California system, overseeing education policy and research activities at UC’s 15 health sciences schools. Now, he's moving full-speed ahead with new programs in public health, pharmaceutical science and nursing. Along with the new hospital that brings in more faculty, funding, and opportunities for undergrads.
