I got my A level results today and they were terrible. My entire school is in shock!!! However, they told me to retake the exams instead of getting them rechecked since cie is unlikely to accpet their mistake! But thats not the issue.. the thing is that my o levels were good and SATs were ok, but now my a level turned out to be ****... shud i tell my colleges not to consider these grades? is that possible?!

i will be retaking them in may any way

What Were Your Results? Did You Take As Exams? How Were Those? Depending On Which College You Wanna Go To You Cn Get In With Just Your O Levels/as- Good Luck

How did you manage to get your results now??? Results days are either March 17th or sometime in August??????!!!!

If ur talkin bout Nov. test-2006, then it's results r due in Feb. end..

many US colleges dont care about A Level results. Did you take AS Levels? If you did well in your AS Levels, you shouldnt be worried.

Actual results don't matter, no college will rescind your admission if you have managed to get above D.

Oh. I thought most exam boards stopped Novemember retakes for AS/A Levels. Only GCSE can be taken in Nov.

no, I took my exams in november 2006. Cambridge International Examinations A levels do take place in oct/nov. My grades were basically C's and B's . I havent done AS, just one (which i didnt do at A level) and got an A in that. Otherwise, my school forcasted 5 A's for me in a level.

er...but I think that the results r due in late Feb...how u got them???...r they out early??..

Don't send your actual results. Since you graduated in Nov 06, i guess Mid-year report isn't required from you.

Don't send the A level grades in. However, you will still need to submit it to the school that you will be enrolling after you are accepted. I don't think Bs and Cs will cause them to revoke admission then..at least I hope not. This is making me all nervous about my own impending results

isac, my sister got her IGCSE results couple of days ago and my friends got their A level results yesterday. They took it in Oct/nov.

Btw CIE grades are really not credible. In 2004 we had 11% getting A, then in 2005 we had 24% getting A, in 2006 we had again 19% getting A. I can't understand why these percentiles fluctuate so often..

1.) My colleges KNOW that I have taken my exams in nov. Dont u think it will be sort of like lying if i dont send in my reports. I could also perhaps explain my situation to them ?! since I am reappearing for ALL my exams in may. My teachers are so shocked and i've been crying non-stop since two days. . theres only CC to comfort me (and im a guy! lol .. not to be sexist.. but if a guy cries it means hes REALLLYYY depressed!)

2.) abhishiv, what did u get?

3.) **** CAMBRIDGE!! im doing edexcel now.. seriously theres something messed up with them. A friend of mine has AAAU ! and this other guy got two A's and a U ! whats wrong with them?!

waleedk87 dont be discouraged- stop crying and be an man about it-LOL you probably just fell under the pressure of your teachers and they expected too much from you. I took A levels- 3 only though and my teachers predicted that I would get 3 A's I ended up getting ABB . It just depends on how badly or how well everyone else did - 5 is quite a workload- do you really need that many? A levels are tough and you need to know your work thoroughly- Id still go cambridge- cause they do stuff like repeat questions from year to year- easier to follow with past papers. not too sure about edexcel though.. good luck!

acc to my teachers u shud never take exams in november since results are always messed up lol

CIE sucks!!!
My school is so ****ed off, they don't know to check the result on net. I'll have to wait for a week till mark-sheets arrive.
Does your school offers Edexcel also?
My logic is that since we put down Nov-06 as graduation date, we aren't required to send Mid-Year report. If you contact them and say that you are gonna repeat these subjects, i am Damn sure that would affect your decision negatively.
Oh! and last year Ben advised someone not to send her actual A-level results because till the time Certificates arrive, it's already Decision time. She was Singaporean, so like us she also had given complete AS and A2 in same session.

If you put down Nov-06 as graduation date, college would expect to receive the final school report by the midterm school report deadline.

well, for applications that I have not sent out (like International University Bremen), shud i just specify that I am taking my exams in May-June 2007? One more thing, I wanted to do bio for June 2007 which i am obviously not doing anymore. What shud i do? shud i just tell them that i am not appearing for that exam and keep quite ? that seems to be the best solution .. but if they ask for my result i'm screwed .. because it would seem as if I am hiding something!
