Help 1/2 credit short

DS was homeschooled for junior year. He took online and DC classes. After accepting DC and homeschool classes he is now 1/2 credit short in science. Anyone know online quick 1/2 credit he could do. We are looking into CBE but that is alot of self study. He is ready to quit and take GED.

What has he taken and what are the requirements?

Would a science course at a local community college be suitable?

HS Biology 1 credit, HS Chemistry 1 credit , HS Physics 1 credit, Environmental Science DC 4 hours - 1/2 credit.

Can he take a summer course at your local cc?

Check your local CC first.

Does this need to be a science class with a lab section?

The GED exam series is not easy. He’d be better off taking a summer class at the CC. It will be faster, and probably even cheaper, than the GED series.

How about Anatomy?

By DC do you mean dual credit? Who were you doing those classes through.

The GED would be WAY more work. Our CC has science classes available for DE students. My son took an online Earth Science class this semester and got a $225 lab kit and ran labs all semester too. I felt like it was a thorough and rigorous class while not dominating his time.

Thanks for all your great suggestions. It has all worked out but I need to keep it off the forum until after graduation.
