HEY! I know this is really sudden but I just found out from my parents that they don't want to pick me up from Orientation. If anyone is going to orientation the 20-21 and are headed to the train station can I please hitch a ride? If not, does anyone know how I could get from UCSB to Amtrak? My train leaves at 7. I'm really freaking out, I've never taken the train before nor any other sort of transportation outside of a car and airplane...

go on fb and ask
there are a lot of ppl going on the 20-21 one

and u didn’t add me. :'(

o.o I didnt!?

you just did LOL

well it depends which amtrak you’re going to the goleta one or the sb one. if you’re getting to the sb one, take the 21x to the bus depot. then from there, walk to state street. once you get to state street from the bus depot make a right you should pass a barnes and nobles as well as a borders. if you dont, you went the wrong way. keep walking until you go underneath a bridge, once you pass the bridge the amtrak is on your right.

i have no idea how to get to the goleta station as i save a couple bucks gettin to LA from the SB station

Tr1p7s. If I took the 21x it wont get there on time, I talked to the bus service. AHH

the Goleta one is not that far from ucsb. like a mile or two

When does your orientation end?

Is it the Goleta one or the SB one? I remember reading that the Goleta one is like 5 minutes away and the SB one is like 10 or so, I think. Also, I think the bus that runs through the middle of campus will take you there. I’m sure there are other students planning on taking the train home too (I was going to) so you will probably be able to meet someone, or at least be in the same boat as some other students! You can ask around, but I think if you go up there and ask someone who works there they can probably give you tips and you can take the bus/walk since it’s so close.
