I'll make this really short:

I took the ACT in june and got a 30 composite. I didn't study very long and only fully finished 1 section (writing, I got a 34). On the others I guessed on about 5-10 questions or so b.c. I ran out of time.

On the SAT in may I got a 2080 (CR-640 M-660 W-780). Since most colleges superscore, and my writing score was pretty good, It seems like my focus is on CR and M only now.

My question: should I focus more on the SAT or ACT? I realize this is an insanely ballparked question but I'll accept anyone's input!

i’d go with the SAT because on the SAT writing is 1/3rd of your score and i believe it is 1/4th on the ACT?

i agree with strosfan. focus on the SAT. it would be fairly easy to improve your math score on it to a 750 and your CR score to a 720.

the structure of the 2 tests is entirely different, ACT tests reading comprehension and grammar, while SAT tests a LOT of vocabulary, and more reasoning/critical thinking/problem solving, while ACT is more content-based, as it includes more advanced level math problems, but easier in the sense that they’re not structured to try and get the test-taker to get the question wrong. I’m deciding to focus on the ACT personally for that reason, but the decision is up to you.
