Help a fellow CCer win a Public Speaking Contest!!!!

Hey everyone! Ron here! Remember the famous
quote by MLK? "Free at last, free at last, thank God
almighty we are free at last!"

To celebrate that day, AirAmerica is hosting its final
round of the National High School Public Speaking
Competition this monday. 10 high school students
will give speeches for the title and for a $40,000 scholarship.

Yes, I am a finalist. Thank you everyone! It means
so much, but we are not finished quite yet. I want
to win the whole thing! But not for the money...

Instead, I want to win this for a bigger reason.

I want to win this for the title. I want to become a motivational
speaker when I grow up, and the chances of that happening
are slim to none.

That could all change tomorrow. With your help.

1 email account gives you 1 vote. I strongly encourage and implore
you to vote me a high score. I don't encourage vote stuffing though,
so please give everyone an appropriate score.

Just give me a 5 ;) hHAHAHAAHHAHA.

I’d be curious to hear what you’re saying before I put my email out there. I’m sure you’re good but I’m curious to what your speech addresses.

Yeah, uh, don’t you think you should show people what you’re saying before asking them to vote for you? :P

OP: why in the world would you think people at CC who never heard u wud vote for you? Do they (we) have any self-interest?! Besides, it also seems kind of “cheating” I guess?!

woah…what really are you saying?

Common sense would say, if I was in the top 10 national
finalist, then I would be pretty decent, would I not?

Forget it, voting already closed off. That’s what I get
for helping everyone on their college application essays/
info searching w/e.

You know, if you ever do become a famous motivational speaker, someone will discover this thread. Scandalous.

^^^ lol…

it’d have made faar better Common Sense if u’ve placed a link w/ ur Orig post. That’d give people more reason to give votes…and decide whether they really like it.
Isn’t it sort of “unrightful” (from the perspective of well, voters) to give votes to a person simply based on the fact that a person is one of the top 10 finalist instead of actually knowing how are good are other competitors.

if the judges see this thread…and realize that you made, there is a possibility that you may not win the top place…just somewhat your speech goes against this thread at some extent…blah. Anyway, i don’t wanna farther this.

sorry if it sounds too harsh..but, I expressed my opinion.
