okay so i applied to UCR UCI UCSD UCSB & UCLA. i got into UCR with a scholarship but im really not down to go there.. im just worried i might not get accepted anywhere else..

Alright so im a senior in a really competitive high school...im top 14% but i have a 4.15 gpa (senior year i have 4.6)
i have taken 6+ ap classes
SAT:1740
ACT: 25
those are the only reasons im worrying bout not gettin in...:/

extracarriculars: basketball team for three years. MVP freshman year, captain of jv team, went to state playoffs. have scholar athlete awards

got hired through youth employment program (for the city) worked for 4 summers. also have a job now. i worked for the 2012 presidential election

i have 200+ volunteer hours. mostly coached at the YMCA and then at the boys and girls club

been in key club, CSF, and JSU - vice president

speak fluent english, armenian, and been taking four years of spanish!

My personal statements are really good also!

oh and my school's API is like high 800's... i also wanna be either a psychology or criminal justice major

i know my scores are really bad, its cuz i lagged taking both until december hahah…but yeah…and no my schools API is like 830, its a really competitive school so thats all good …thank you :)

UCI: match
UCSD: high match
UCSB: high match
UCLA: low reach

You need to improve your test scores to have better chances. Although i think youll be fine for UCI. The Presidential Election thing is cool though, colleges will love that! Use it to your advantage :)

Low SAT but good GPA. grade inflation? just try to bring it up to 2000+ and you’ll be in good shape for all these schools, with the exception of UCLA for which you need maybe a ~2150. I don’t know much about chancing, sorry :P

Your EC’s look impressive, but like everyone else says, your test scores might be detrimental. If your school is on the semester system, 12 semesters + of AP classes is alright.
My guess is that you’re good for Irvine, Riverside, and Santa Barbara. SD is probable, LA is a bit of a stretch. Any SAT II’s?
Being almost trilingual is a plus though, did you include that in your app?

thank you…but yeah i really only wanna go to ucsb so hopefully ill get in
no i didnt take any i did everything last minute haha
yeah i included all that, plus im first generation, nd my essays were really good!
