very good essays (i worked hard on them!!) and excellent recommendations

ok so i applied early action hoping maybe i'd have a shot but i got deferred so i'm crossing my fingers and waiting til late march. My dad is an alum which i heard could help me out, since nova is big into legacy....i've tried to make it clear to them that it is my ABSOLUTE first choice and if i get in i will be going.

anyways, what are my chances? do i have a decent shot? please let me know, honestly either way....

oh and just for fun if you feel like it...my chances at the other big name catholic schools...
BC (no way in hell, i know), holycross, providence, loyola, fairfield

Your SATs are a bit low, but your other attributes seem great. Don't worry about getting deferred EA, it was insane this year. Maybe you should write a letter to admissions telling them how much you truly love the school (be specific) and how it's your dream to go there? Since you are a legacy and all, I think you have a pretty good chance, though I don't know the strength of the RD pool.. I know from my school, only top top kids are applying to Nova RD... Definitely write to them or call them and tell them about your passion of going to Nova, and I'd think you would very likely get in! I don't know much about the other Catholic schools, but you should get into Providence, Loyola, and Fairfield as well.

what is this...this post has been viewed 350 + times and i only get one response???! honestly i'd appreciate ANY input whatsoever, so please...review my stats and tell me what you think!

nova is my absolute number one choice (i appled to other schools, but i dont really want to any of them) so let me now realistically what my chances are and i'll love you foreverrrrr =)

besides the numbers part of your app, i think you are a strong applicant. I think you have a fairly good shot especially with the alum connection. good luck!

Your SAT's are your weakest point & depending on the strength of this year's group of apps, could hold you out gpa is solid but not fantastic...BUT you have an alum connection which could off-set that...sorry but it's a definite maybe

FOR SURE you will get into Villanova....as a current student there, I have to say that your scores and gpa are right in line with the rest of our student body. You have above average extracurriculars plus the legacy going for you. ALSO, out of the 1000s of ppl that applied early this year, Nova only accepted 300 of them. They are very conservative EA so dont be worried if u were deferred.

posting out of boredommm....ahh i want to go to nova soo bad. all my friends are in college and i want to know!! the anticipation is killing me...my dad just donated $2500 to the alum assoc...hah, maybe that will help me out. god damn SATs maybe if i didn't go to the party the night before i would have done well and wouldn't be in this positition to begin with. life ****ing sucksssssss sometimes. ughhh nova needs to just let me in already. im becoming neurotic this is not good.

dont worry stop stressing! :) i def think you are in. nova just is harder early action they gotta defer you because of the sat score. but with all your e.c. and grades i honestly think your in 100%. i might be going there but im trying to decide between umd and nova. but let me no if you are in you should be getting the letter soon! GOOD LUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK :)
