*I'm in search of a true SAFETY

Click on my username, View Public Profile, then the link under Biography to see my stats and extra-curriculars. More nominations and positions have been held, I just haven't updated it for a while.

SATS: 1930 both times (590 M, 660 CR, 680 W...600 M, 640 CR, 690 W)
ACT: 30 (I retook it and I'm waiting for the results)

I'm retaking the SAT (plus the subject tests) in October and November.

I'm getting the required rec from my guidance counselor, one from my AP English teacher (a PhD), and a supplemental one from my class advisor and old English teacher (an Amherst alum).

My essays should be pretty good.

White female
Public school (about 45 minutes from Amherst)
Middle class income, no legacy, not an athlete, famous celebrity, or Olympic gold medalist

I took 2 AP classes last year, 4 this year (the most rigorous course load that my school offers...it's not a prep school or anything).

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED! Is this a good list? Are they all reaches? Should I just submit my ACT? THANKS! :]

Based upon what you posted on the profile, I thought Sacred Heart University was your true safety. Also, why isn't Dickenson on your list. I'd consider it if I were you.

The problem at the first three schools is that your SAT CR score and especially your SAT Math scores are just way too low. Get these up to 700+ plus and all of those schools become slight reaches or matches.

the LAC territory is far deeper than the schools you listed. look into dickenson and muhlenberg, and franklin and marshall, and gettysburg, bard, hampshire, hamilton, trinity, connecticut college. some of these are more selective than others, but they may substantiate your match and safety category. you may even find a school that you love more than the rest of the ones on your list.
