Hey! Don’t worry too much about your SAT score.
The Ivies really do look at your application and scores contextually. They have MUCH lower standards for those applying from Africa/ME when it comes to the SATs. I personally know people who got into Brown, Stanford, and Yale with scores in the 1800-2000 range. These people, however, had 700+ SATiis, so try to do your best on those Jan SATs.
I can’t guarantee anything obviously, but I’m just stating the reality. You will not be expected to score a 2300+ as a person applying from Kenya. If you manage to write a powerful essay, you might just have a good chance of getting in to at least one of your reaches. (esp with your GPA/LoR)
Good luck!
I hope you touted the phone charger! MIT might be impressed by that.
Just wanted to tell everyone on here that I reapplied to Stanford this year via REA and got accepted! Its really difficult to get into Stanford with a FULL RIDE as an international, and especially harder to get in after getting rejected the previous year! But I did it! Its not impossible people! Dream! Believe! Hope! And work towards achieving them!
@kenyan254 I’m so happy for you. You just encouraged me to reach for my dream no matter what people say. I want to apply to Stanford next year. I hope everything goes well. Every advice you can give me will be appreciated. Thanks
