Help A Procrastinator With His Essay-asap Please

i will fedex my transcript and recommendations to Vanderbilt on Monday the 27th.
i'm trying to counter my crappy sat score with the essays. I did the first one about what passion or interest that might be a part of my journey at Vandy. Now i'm suffering from a serious writer's block and i have no clue what to write about for the one about why i chose Vanderbilt. CAN ANY ONE HELP ME?

Check out the research that astonomers have done at Vandy. I'm sitting here with my daughter and she also has serious writers block writing a Why Vanderbilt Essay. She hopes to fedex hers tomorrow as well. LOL

If you both go to vandy you will be together in the astronomy program.

She is from Alaska...you are from Haiti.

Thanks for your advice and I wish your daughter good luck...Vandy was my first choice of school but i might have to think twice about it now. I'm in a huge imbroglio with time, my parents, and all..maybe i should just attend a state University close to home then i'll transfer to Vandy after two years...Still, i need to finish this application because my high school is looking over my shoulder ... gggggggggrrrrrrrr

Don't kill yourself over the "Why Vandy" "essay". It's a brief statement of why you like vandy and what lead you to choose to apply. You don't have to go out of your way to impress anybody with it; that's what your main essay is for.

Good luck with your application and get it in soon!

is there a way i can look at ur vanderbilt essay? i am not applying there, but i am applyingto uva, with a asimilar topic.. why i want to go to UVA. i swear i wont copy . i just need some ideas and fancy bullsh** about how great the college is?

crichessill-- for those essays just look up what the school prides itself on, whether it be diversity or its newly funded arts building and highlight that in your essay saying how that will enhance your educational experience (look on their website and through the mail that they send to you--you know the stuff you dont request but loads your mailbox!)...but also try to be truthful because too much bull will be seen right through you will not be receiving an acceptance letter from them...

good luck!

crichessill--i'm actually writing it now, i migth finish tonight. If i do finish it i'll find a way to let you look at it...Aim me or something.

Thx to everyone (who actually reply this thread) for helping me. It seems like i'm off my writer's block, and i feel like writing. However, i don't have that much time in my hand. The deadline is approaching.....
