Help a Prospective Transfer! Chance meee

I just got my first term GPA back and it was not too great for a school like Barnard. I got a 3.5 (3 As and A-s and 2 B+s) in a top 50 university that is known for its grade deflation policy :frowning:
Do I still have a chance at Barnard with my stats?

SAT: 2280 (770 V 730 M 780 W)
SAT II: Math IIC 740
US History 750
Literature 740
HS GPA: 87.9 (At New Yorkā€™s Specialized High School)

Extracurriculars:
HS- Debate Team; Co-President of Book Club; Vice President of a cultural club; Student Government Representative
College- Co-founder of a political publication

THANKS!

shameless bump!
:D

no one???

All I really ever say on ā€œchancesā€ thread is that you have no chance if you do not apply. Sorry, I donā€™t mean to be snide, but honestly that is all anyone here can tell you with any authority.

Best to you, and I hope you find yourself in a college situation where you are thriving.

Not at all! Your piece of advice is rather encouraging. Transfer admissions can be rather discouraging at times. It is good to be reminded of the important things.

Donā€™t be discouraged! My stats were worse than yours, but Iā€™m at Barnard now!

Transferring into Barnard is difficult, no matter how good your chances. My D was waitlisted last spring.

But I can only ditto churchmusicmom - your chances are zero if you donā€™t apply so go for it! hugs
