listen... i'm not being ungrateful. even WITH the full tuition scholarship, i have to pay about 10,000 US dollars a year for my room and board expenses. i can't do that u see. we might be a little well off here in pakistan but by US standards, let's just say that we don't exactly reside in the upper half. nyway, i've decided to go to this college in karachi: KARACHI UNIVERSITY. it's pretty well known and i think i might be able to do well there. do u think i could transfer to the higher ivies after a little time here? considering that my grades then are stellar?

what are the higher ivies?

it was just a term used for the more competitive ivies: harvard, cornell, and the like: caltech, MIT, upenn, yale.
i know i'm being a little over-ambitious and perhaps a little unrealistic about my transfer choices, but they're my only hope of getting in with huge amounts of aid.

cornell is the easiest ivy league school to transfer into...

oh is it? it has asn excellent biological science dept.
so any hope that i might have considering i'm international.

cant you just take loans?

Malishka, $40,000 of student loans seems excessive, don't you think?
