Hi, I'm a rising senior female from MD. I have all my reach schools picked out, but I need to find a safety I'll be happy attending.

My needs:
*Good financial aid- my parents make about 60k, and will not be able to contribute any money to my education
*Located on east coast (travel costs to go further suck)
*Good biomedical engineering program
*I will definitely get in

My wants:
*Located in/very near to a city
*Bigger school (at least medium sized, no less than 5k undergrads)
*Field hockey (rec, intramural, collegiate, anything I just want to be able to play)

My stats:
SAT: 2340 (800M/800W/740CR) (only took once)
SAT subject: Math 2:800 Bio E:740
GPA: 4.0 UW, 4.24 W
Rank: School does not rank
AP: Calc AB (5), Environmental Science (5), English Lang (5), Physics B (4), US History (4), World History (4), taking Calc BC, Physics C, Bio, English Lit, and Spanish next year

I want to be a biomedical engineer too, and I’m a senior next year! I would recommend Northwestern, my dream school. Also, Princeton might be a reach, but it offers outstanding financial aid.

What about Georgetown or Boston College? You seem like a fabulous candidate for either, and I think you’d definitely get in. Why not try applying to schools like Columbia or U Chicago? They might be a crapshoot, but they are for everyone, so you should still try.

Maybe URochester - not sure about their finanical/merit aid but you would be above their average class profile so it could be worth checking into. Possibly GA Tech although it is outside your geographic preference.
