<p>Shoes generally fall under “industrial design,” generally at an art/design college or other school with a great art program, including ID. I have a friend who designed and managed for a major sneaker company- art school/ID graduate. </p>

But, Dad was Chief Marketing Officer for Reebok, a former shoe “inventor” and previously worked for LA Gear. Etc. And, wealthy enough to underwrite the boys. That’s one heck of a leg-up. Good luck.
