Accept/Waitlist/Denied for University of Pennsylvania , Haverford College (ED), Notre Dame (URM & EA), Emory University, University of Rochester, University of Richmond, Brandeis University, University of Pittsburgh

It will be hard to determine your true chances until you are more established in your high school career. In actuality, you should not worry about this until the end of your junior year. The only advice I would give would be to take the SAT as many times as possible and keep your grades up until it is time to apply

It is tough to tell at this point, but I think that you will be accepted ED to Haverford if you keep up your grades and demonstrate interest. This is often a big deal at small LACs.

Everything accept but Haverford, Emory, and Notre Dame. For them I think what you need to do is really get your unweighted up by doing better in AP Classes next year and this year + your class rank. I think you’ll be on a wait list if it were for now; you’ve got two years though. Good luck!

I’d say for now that it would be a reach school. I suggest that next year or Senior year you take both AP Chem and AP Biology as they look great if you get a great AP score. Getting spectacular recs from those teachers and amplifying you schedule the most next year will probably get you to everything but maybe not Cornell as it’s probably the hardest to get in overall.

Im probably going to get a rec from AP Chem and AP Physics. Both teachers know me and I have not taken any classes with them. Also going to get one rec from a doctor

Keep the grades up! This is with the unweighted GPA at the moment:

Like said above, try taking AP classes next year and senior year. You’re doing well, so keep it up!

The only issues are your weighted GPA and your class rank. Good luck though! Also, don’t worry about this until the middle to end of your junior year… Enjoy being in high school while you can haha :)

Hard to tell as you’re not really established. You’ve been doing well so far. Try to do something extra ordinary.

I think being in the 20% might hurt you. It’s kinda hard to say though, seeing as I don’t know how competitive or rigorous your “super-competitve, public school” is.

Your weighted GPA might just kill you though. At first, I thought that was a decent GPA, but then I realized that it was weighted. Once again, it’s hard to really chance you, seeing as I don’t attend your school, but at my public school in CA, which is pretty competitive too, it’s not unusual to see students with 4.4+ weighted GPAs. It’s good that you have an upward trend, but honestly, in my opinion at least, it’s better to start with a good trend. It’s like the difference between having a C during all of first semester and having to work your way up to an A and having a steady A all semester.

I agree with previous people, Junior year is going to be the real year that will determine college acceptances. Try to take as many AP’s as you can handle, participate and commit to EC’s and study more for the ACT for UPenn, Emory and schools like that. I think a 34 is the min, try for a 35 And after junior year, hopefully you’ll be in the top 10% because that does show how you fare with your classmates. Also if you can, try to get some more awards, like in FBLA or Future Doctors of America (if that is something you can get awards in)
But for right now,
