I didn’t really find anything about your stats “a little unique”, was this just a ploy to get people to read the whole thing?

Well I meant my coursework is a little different as I have both APs and IBs. I thought it would be a good way to get people to read the post, but I never meant to trick anyone or anything :)

If you’ve read it now, I’d love a few chances. And I will keep my word and chance back. That goes for anyone reading this  Thanks!

^ I agree. I think I skimmed through the whole thing twice to see if I missed something. You have a very rigorous courseload and a good ACT score but I don’t see anything that sets you apart.

Anyways, since I have gone through it:

Brown: Reach

UMich: Reach (Ross is competitive too)
WUSTL: Reach
BC: High Match
UF: Low Match

@jake5504. You literally copied and pasted the response above - both of you missed the exact same schools and you went in the same order. I find this funny, considering that I posted these same stats about a month ago to get some responses (only got 2, so I wanted to repost) and you gave me VERY different chances. I’ll keep my word and chance you, because I did say that I would, but I just wanted to point this out because I’m looking for honest answers - not a copy/paste job.

Regardless of his copy-paste, the majority of your schools are reaches. You do need to bump your GPA up a little bit to have a solid chance at most of your schools.

You should be a match for Emory too. (missed it in my last post, my bad).

Also make sure you leave out all those ECs you seem to have spent less time on than your others; same goes with awards. Colleges don’t care if you had the highest GPA in one class for a year…it really isn’t that impressive. Don’t put all those clubs in either. Just the few that you spent the most time on and are passionate about. Being president for 10 different clubs where you spent a year each in isn’t nearly as impressive as being president of a couple where you spent 4 years. Basically I’m just trying to say that your post seems like a laundry list of all your accomplishments when really only a few of them are noteworthy.

PS: Format your posts so that they’re easier on the eyes; you’ll get a lot more chances that way.
