help!!!! about pre-reqs

So, UCLA decisions just came out, and unfortunately I was rejected.. due to my low gpa i guess.
But besides, it seems theres also a bunch people who were rejected because they didn't complete all the pre-reqs.... T.T

so here's my question:

"does completing all the pre-reqs really matter??"

and "How the hell are you going to finish your pre-reqs if none of the CCs in your area offer them?"

now I'm still pending for UCSD, my backup.. but the same situation - not even one out of the total eight pre-req courses are available in my area.. so how's that?

my gpa 3.59
igetc: will complete by the end of spring 2010
no tag
major: visual art
(lots of pre-req art classes are not offered or have been canceled due to the budget cut...)

I’d like to know the answer to that as well. Seemed like pre-reqs mattered more than gpa. I personally feel it’s a bunch of b.s. to make up 15 prereqs for a major. They must be turning down top talent left and right because of that.

I am in the same situation.

Pre-reqs are CRUCIAL for Berkeley and LA, if you don’t finish them, they know you’re going to take a longer time to graduate because of that.

SD is wayyy more lenient with pre-reqs and such.

finishing means by the end of spring correct?

Yes, Bruin
But they can still see it as a reason to reject you I guess
(I mean finishing your pre reqs in spring)
