HELP! Accepted into the Columbia Pre-College program, but is it any good?

Hi,

I’m a freshman who applied to Columbia Pre-College summer program on Feb. 9. I was accepted today (Feb. 10) – kind of a quick acceptance, are they even reading the applications? Anyway, I have a few questions for anyone who knows, or has attend, the program.

  1. Is the program any good?I’ve heard a lot, lot of bad things about it, ranging for students who don’t care, to a sub-par education
  2. Does it help when applying to undergrad?
  3. How is the teaching?
  4. How are commuter students treated? Are they excluded as much as others say they are?
  5. Do the people working their care?
  6. Lastly, most importantly, did you actually learn a lot that helped you?

Btw - I applied to the 3-week version and got accepted for Understanding the Stock Market
