Ok guys, I don't know why im in this situation right now....

Here's the story.

I sent my October and September scores to me ED college on November 10th, and notified the college that the scores were on their way, which they were completely fine with. Writing scores for the october test came out the 12th or something, so I was like 'ok, they should get there relatively fast...' Boy was I wrong....

Fast forward to November 24th, I get my admissions checklist from the ED college and they show that I am missing my ACT scores! I immediately contacted my regions admissions officer (still havent gotten a reply) and called my guidance counselor about the situation. The checklist said that all outstanding parts of the application has to be in within one week, so the anxiety really started to settle in.

And now here we are today, when my guidance counselor called the admissions office and was told that they STILL dont have the scores. I reacted by calling the ACT and asking where the scores were, and they told me they were mailed on Nov. 22nd and should have been delivered in 3 days or so..... I also emailed the lady my guidance counselor talked to this afternoon telling her that the scores were sent and that I ordered them on the 10th.

My admissions checklist still says that I do not have and standardized tests in, and that week time limit is quickly coming. I really dont know what else I can do at this point, and if anyone can give ANY advice, it would be much appreciated!

I dont think that the scores are lost, but they need to show up!

I didn’t take the ACT but I sent my SAT scores to Lewis & Clark and it took a little over a week to get there. This had part to do with the fact that LC is far (where were your scores supposed to go to?), and also because the test service is awful. I panicked for a solid week, but in the end they got there safe and sound. Best of luck! Sorry you have to go through the stress.

yes, i was notified this morning that the school FINALLY has the scores. A warning to everyone, the ACT take FOREVER to send score reports! Send like 20+ days in advance.

I work at a college. My d’s Act scores were electronically downloaded to her file within 1 week of requesting them. Her Sat’s are still not there & it has been several weeks. It all has to do with when the college downloads the scores. Each college has their own schedule. If this college does not download ACT scores (and I’m really surprised that there are still colleges that don’t), and a paper copy is sent, the information on that paper copy then has to be hand entered along with thousands of other student’s scores. This takes time & the scores were probably at the college all along waiting to be hand entered. Just some insight into how things work.

The school I applied ED to has about 550 or so ED applicant each year. When my counselor called on monday they said they checked the files and had not received my scores yet. I agree that a lot of the time the scores can be at the school and just processing, but I think my situation was the ACT sending the scores late and FedEx taking forever.

^
they got the scores in time for ed luckily.

my coach neglected to register me for silver and black this year…such a shame, oh well, im going to the hillcrest tourny on tuesday for extemp, ill be the one who gets first in fx ^^, well hopefully… Kinda weird you know my state and that I debate lol, are you a debater too? what event?

It is pretty easy to spot the UT contingent on CC–there are so few. I have watched you in a PF round, although was not judging. You are quite good, and I wish you all the best wherever you end up at college. I really think you have a fighting chance at Swarthmore.

Thank you! Encouragement is probably the best thing someone can give me right now. You’re right about quickly spotting the Utah contingent here on CC. There aren’t many, but they are here :)
