HELP!!! (After got admitted by UCs)

Currently, I have just been admitted by UCI, UCSB, UCD, UCSD. (UCLA and Cal are still pending).

I just have a question about dropping the class with a 'W':
Can I drop one of the classes I'm taking in this last semester with a 'W'? It's not my major course, and I'm really doing bad in this class. So, I'm just thinking to drop it before I got failed. But also, I'm wondering if I'm allowed to drop any classes that I put on the transfer application already.

Guys, HELP ME!!!

It's okay as long as you will still have enough tranferrable credits and can fulfill the IGETC by the end of spring.

I had to withdraw from a course earlier this semester. I sent my schools an email and they said they'd update the files.

I think this kind of thing happens all the time, and as long as you still meet the qualifications you'll be fine.

I REALLY feel much better after hearing this...

(and any other opinions from other ppl?)

i called them and asked whether it will be okay to drop a class that i don't need. the lady said that as long as i keep pace with the admission contract and have enough units, all i have to do is notify them of the change and everything'll be okay.

Yeah, just call them up and ask. I'm in a multivariable calculus course that I was considering dropping because only UCSD required it, so I just emailed the other schools I got into to make sure it was ok. Even Davis, which has completion of planned and in-progress work as a condition of admission, said it was fine.

I just have the exactly same situation as yours. The class I wanna drop is Linear Algebra, which is only listed as a major course on UCSD's requirements.
I'm gonna wait 2 more days to hear from UCLA and I will drop it anyway. (This class is really killing me - the highest level of math class in college)

do you guys know what their policy is on major courses?

managerial accounting is killing me right now.... i'm going to stick it out but yeah, just curious

^

bump...

I also have this question too.
Personally, I think for most UCs (excpet UCLA and Cal), as long as we have the enough 60 units for transfer, we still can drop some major courses and take them again in there.

Agree or Disagree?!

shoot i hope so...

i'll still have 65 units if i drop my accounting class

I had to drop a calculus class about 3 weeks ago that was not required for my 1st major choice, but it was needed for my alternate major (I'm a TAP student). This would've brought my total unit count to only 55, but luckily I was able to enroll in 2 ITV classes to make up the lost units. I haven't let the UC's know of this change yet because the UCLA advisor at my college advised me not to contact them during the application process. Once I'm in (hopefully) I'll let them know about the changes.
Hopefully I will get accepted for my first major choice, and not my alternate major!

This is so right! I'm just gonna wait less than 24 hours to get the decision from UCLA, and then I will kick my math teacher's ass and say "You are hard as hell!!!"
