Help! All about transfer (basics)

<p>I am a student in a CCC.
And I plan to transfer to UCLA, UCB and UCD in 2010 Fall in psychology (B.A)
Can You guys checked if that's all I need?</p>

<p>First, I 'll need to write a personal statement (abt 1000 words) in about summer of 2009.
And I need to have my up-to-date transcript with my application
(How about the IGETC cert? I will not be able to finish IGETC at that time, can i still can the cert?)</p>

<p>Then I 'll mail(or e-mail? but how the send the transcript by e-mail??) the transcipt, application(with IGETC cert?) and the p.s. to the admission of the UCs by the end of september in 2009.</p>

<p>By the end of November, I will have my Fall 2009 grade in the CCC, I 'll need to fill in a form to update my grade to all UCs I applied( where can I get the form?) . The form suppose to due in Feb 2010, since my 2010 winter quarter ends at March, I 'd mail the form to the UCs( e-mail? so do I need any proof of the grade? or I should have a updated transcript?)</p>

<p>In march 2010, I would ave my 2010 winter grade , but due to the fact that the form is due, I 'd just ignore it. </p>

<p>In Apirl 2010, I suppose I can would get a mails (e-mails?) notify if I am accept or not. After deciding, I 'd send a confirm letter back to the admission of ONE UCs .</p>

<p>As I CAN"T complete the major-preq before 2009 Fall, so I need to update my grade to UCs, right? how do I update my major-preq classes grade as the form is due ?? I suppose I can finish all the major-preq course by the end of 2010 spring, is it ok??</p>

<p>How about the IGETC? like major-preq, I think I can finish all the IGETC by the end of 2010 spring, but would the UCs know about it? How do I inform the UCs what classes I 'd take after 2009 Fall??</p>

I 'll get my accpetance in April right?
But my spring quarter doesn’t end at april…
So how do I inform them about the Grades in spring??
So there’s a chance that they accept me in April and reject me later??</p>

<p>You do not need an up to date transcript when you submit your application.</p>

<p>You’re IGETC certification and pre-req completion needs to be done the Spring before you transfer, not by the time you apply. </p>

<p>You will only send your transcript and certification if you are accepted by the college and submit your intent to register. </p>

<p>You do not mail anything, you update your grades on a form that is provided by the application website and you will be e-mailed a confirmation when you submit your application that will have a link to the update form for when it will be available, it will be due by the end of January. </p>

<p>You don’t send a confirm letter to the college you choose after you are accepted, you submit a SIR which is basically just clicking a button on the acceptance site saying you are going to go to that university. </p>

<p>Everything needs to be done by the spring before transfer. </p>

<p>The whole process is basically paperless.</p>

<p>so, i guess i second everything sweet said and add that I personally found it very useful to get started on my essay at the beg of summer and you fill out one application (grades, EC’s, Essay…) and check off which schools you want to apply to, they each get an identical copy of your application and essay</p>

you send them a transcript after you finish, and if you failed, dropped out, or didn’t take a required class, they will rescind your application </p>

yeah, same application for all the uc’s</p>

<p>Yes, Spring 2010 you need a 3.0 or higher (aka B average) to adhere to the admissions requirements needed so that they do not take back your acceptance </p>

<p>You do not update winter and spring classes, you merely put down what you are going to be taking and will send in the final transcript to confirm this to whatever school you get accepted to and choose to attend. I personally sent a letter to each campus letting them know what I got in my winter class because it was a pre-req but that is up to the individual.</p>
