Help! All of sudden my TI89 has decided not to work!

I can plug it into the computer and the computer itself recognizes it but TI Connect is clueless that it's even there

I have tried using EVERY USB port (like 6 of them) and none of them work with it!

I just got this calculator too!

and yes, the teacher told us we could download this particular program. none of this cheating business.

but how am i supposed to do that if my TI Connect fails me!

Help!

abra kadabra 89 into Einstein!

try now- i'vfe worked my magic

mm I'd try their tech support.

Just out of curiosity, how do you like the 89? I use an 84 but I'm curious what features the 89 has.

Hmm. Maybe the shading of the numbers is too light.

Try moving the arrows down to make the numbers darker. My friend played it as a prank on me once, and I started crying because I thought my calculator was dead. Then he quickly gave it back to me and fixed it. Needless to say, I felt like an idiot. No I am not a crybaby.

MY FRIEND DID THAT TO ME TOO!!!!!! sorry, weird coincidence. Except he made it totally dark and told me that it was because I had dropped it earlier.

haha, anisha, i too have done that

that's not the issue though

my calc works just fine, it just won't connect to the computer

ooh and tickytock it save a lot of gruntwork. i too had a TI 84 and loved it, but the 89 solves for X (yes...i can be lazy!) and does deriv, anti-deriv, even fourier transforms

It's a lovely calculator. Takes a bit of getting used to, but I recommend it

now can someone else, perhaps a computer science major, help me out? :)

Try clearing the memory?

I've had that problem before.
You have to uninstall the usb drive on your computer and then plug your calculator back in. It should work then.
