Help alleviate/worsen my nerves :S

Hi, I applied around late November and really I'm just wondering how I'll do

SAT 2000
Math 690
Writing 650
CR 660

ACT Comp 30
English 28
Reading 28
Mathematics 29
Science 35 (yay? :3)

GPA
Unweighted 3.34
Weighted 3.72

Rank: 32 out of 113 (~28%; my school is "notorious" for dropouts, really people that can't handle the work and go back to their home school...)

School: Science Academy of South Texas, a rigorous magnet school focusing on Mathematics, Sciences and Engineering

EC: Astronomy club (freshman), UIL Science (9,10,12) UIL Number Sense (9,10), Volunteer RGV Food Bank (freshmam), Relay for Life (fundraiser for cancer researcher and treatment, 7th-12th grade) Tutor in math and physics (9th-12th; also took a job as a tutor beginning this summer)

Achievements: National Hispanic Scholar; AP Scholar with Distinction

I've taken as many AP's as I could; the ones where I can't take AP, I take Pre-AP
Sophomore: 1 AP (Spanish Language, 5)
Junior: 5 AP (English Language 4, Physics B 5, Calculus AB 4, Spanish Literature 4, U.S. History 2)
Senior: Taking 8 Ap (English Literature, Physics C Mechanics, Physics C E&M, Chemistry, Psychology, Calculus BC, Macroeconomics, U.S. Government)

Wrote essays A and B, pretty well if I say so myself and my English Literature teacher agrees :)
Letters of Recommendation from mentioned English teacher and from my AP Physics teacher of 2 years

My school is partnered with Project Lead the Way, and I've taken engineering classes the whole of my high school, with consistent A's

My first choice is Civil Engineering
My second is Physics

So...what do you guys think? Thanks for answering :)

Bump, I’m In-state btw

test scores, rank, and GPA are a little bit lower than their top candidates. But if you have a rigorous course work and good essays, that could help a lot!

You have to realize UT is a school that uses test scores and GPA to quickly weed people out, even if they have a lot of impressive background information.

But your stuff is impressive! I’m sure you’ll find out soon  good luck!

You’ll probably get into the CNS for physics.

A 2000 SAT and 30 ACT is roughly average for engineering (maybe a little low), but your class rank is worrisome. I think you’ll be fine though!

Thanks for those who answered (:
Although I’d like a few more opinions if I could :s
(Secret bump)

Hey! I’m from the valley too and I’m also going into engineering. Did you get in?
