<p>I considering deferrence almost auto-rejection. And unless one wins Intel/Westinghouse/big award, then chances are slim to none that one would get in RD considering that he did not get in ED. </p>
<p>That's a great story though: 3.2 gpa and getting in without extenuating circumstances. Wow. But how often does that happen? I bet less than 2-3% of columbia's applicants are under 3.2.</p>
<p>I didn't state that Columbia's average GPA was 4.0. 3.8 sounds fine. But if one gets 6 C's in high school, it doesn't bode well for the applicant. I feel that she might be deferred/rejected. I'm not arrogant, but I feel I am realistic?</p>
